Due to the current global environment, we’ve made the tough decision to voluntarily suspend cruise operations through 31st October, 2020 (excluding Australia sailings). Additionally, the remainder of the 2020 Europe season and the autumn Transatlantic sailings have also been cancelled, along with an additional pause in our China itineraries through 13th September, 2020. This will allow additional time to solidify our safety measures as we work to welcome you and your clients back onboard. We are thoughtfully analysing every aspect of the cruise experience and, as you can imagine, this takes time but we are steadily making progress.

After consulting with our partners at Cruise Lines International Association and in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we will be extending the suspension of global operations for all sailings departing on-or-before September 15, 2020.

Update: 21/05/20

After consulting with the CDC and our partners at Cruise Lines International Association, we will be extending the suspension of global operations for all sailings departing on-or-before July 31, 2020.

As a result of this change, we’re providing you with a 125% Future Cruise Credit to book a new cruise by December 31, 2021 for sailings departing on or before April 30th, 2022.

Alternatively, you also have the option to keep their cruise vacation plans to the same destination and move your existing booking to a 2021 sailing on a date within four weeks of your originally scheduled departure.  The alternative sailing must be of the same stateroom category, on the same product (itinerary type) and cruise length (+/- one sail night), scheduled within four weeks before or four weeks after the date of the original sailing but in the subsequent year.

·         Just let us know by June 10th, 2020 and we’ll “lift and shift” your reservation at the same rate including any promotion you currently have on the booking. If we don’t hear from you, we will automatically issue the Future Cruise Credit.

·         Please note, if you have already cancelled your sailing by taking advantage of our Cruise with Confidence policy, you will not be eligible to receive the compensation noted above.

Or, if you prefer the lower value in a 100% full refund, we’re happy to process this. Given how fluid this situation is, and the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have until the end of this year – December 31, 2020 – to request a refund and deactivate their certificate.

Given global public health circumstances, Azamara has decided to extend the suspension of sailings of our global fleet.

We expect to return to service on 12 May 2020.

A 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be automatically issued to all impacted guests.T&C’s apply

Alternatively, a full refund is an option for your customers, if preferred. There’s no need to rush this decision – refund requests are available until 31 December, 2021

Azamara Announces Global Voluntary Suspension of Cruising

At Azamara, the safety and well-being of our guests and crew are always our top priorities. After the decision was made on March 13th to voluntarily suspend our sailings departing from US ports, we’ve now made the decision to also suspend operations for the remainder of our sailings worldwide, effective at midnight, March 15th. If you are currently onboard a cruise, there’s no need to worry. We will conclude current sailings with modifications in order to provide our guests the best options for their safe return home. Our goal is to resume operations on April 11th, 2020.

We’re currently working directly with guests as well as travel advisors impacted by this temporary disruption. As a result of this change, if you’re scheduled to sail with us before April 11th, you will receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit to come back and sail with us by December 31, 2021.

This amount will be based on your total cruise fare paid. And, we’re giving you a little extra, knowing that this is such a unique circumstance.
We will automatically issue you your Future Cruise Credit by Monday, April 13th, 2020 via email. So, there’s nothing for you to do!
If you pre-booked any shore excursions through Azamara, you’ll receive a full refund to the original form of payment. Guests with independent arrangements should contact their travel advisors as soon as possible.
Please know, if you pre-purchased any amenities and packages – like beverage, internet or specialty dining, or Azamara Upgrade, those will be automatically refunded.
Or, if you prefer the lower value in a full refund, we’re happy to process this for you. Given how fluid this situation is, and the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have plenty of time to make up your mind. You do not need to request your refund until December 31, 2021.

Please contact us to start the refund process, if you’re willing to give up the higher value of your 125% Future Cruise Credit.
We’ll then deactivate your Future Cruise Credit and process your refund to your original form(s) of payment, which will include any non-refundable deposits.

You can expect to receive your refund 30 days after you submit your request.
Please note, guests who have purchased pre- or post-land packages through Azamara will also receive compensation in the same form as their cruise fare.

And, if you purchased air or hotel…

via Azamara, these will also be automatically refunded to you.
