Carnival Creates Fastest Internet At Sea Onboard Princess Cruises
Carnival Corporation is currently winning the race to have the fastest internet at sea, with one of it’s Princess Cruises’ ships having the quickest connectivity!
Using its newly developed service, MedallionNet along with working with SES Networks which is a world-leading provider of satellite-enabled connectivity solutions, Carnival Corporation and Princess Cruises attempted to reach a bandwith of 1.5 gigabits per second, which would be the most ever delivered to a mobile platform.
The attempt will aim to show that connectivity is no longer something which is a limitation to cruise holidays, and that guests using MedallionNet will have access to the internet at speeds that will eclipse those typically expected on a land-based hotel.

As part of the test Carnival Corporate will try to achieve 1.5 gigabits per second, whilst Regal Princess is off Princess Cays. This level will give guests onboard unprecedented Wi-Fi access that would equal ore than 6,000 users concurrently surfing the internet.
