Adonia Returns To P&O Cruises

After spending the year as part of the social impact brand ‘Fathom’ Adonia has now returned to P&O Cruises.

Fathom was created to connect, unite and inspire people in a world which is ‘far too divided’. It aims to deepen human connections by delivering deep travel experiences on Carnival Corporation ships. Adonia, which carries up to 710 passengers, operated for Fathom to run the first US sailings from Miami to Cuba in 50 years, and alternated departures to the Dominican Republic.

However Adonia has now returned back to P&O Cruises, with a complete refurbishment to boot, including the addition of Olly Smith’s Glass House restaurant and wine bar and an overall refresh of the vessel.

Paul Ludlow, Senior Vice President, P&O Cruises, said: “We are delighted to welcome Adonia back into the P&O Cruises fleet. Guests love our bigger ships, but Adonia has always had a special place in the hearts of many of them, who enjoy the intimate and country house hotel feel, the discovery itineraries offered and the refined gentleness of the on board experience.”

Adonia’s summer season will be spent in Europe and due to her smaller size will see her cruise to many ports that her bigger sisters such as Britannia can’t access. Adonia’s cruise collection is packed with exciting possibilities for exploring some less well known ports as well as many classic and popular destinations. She’ll finally be back in the Caribbean from November 2017, for a six month season of cruises from Barbados.
