We’ve been onboard MSC Bellissima!

You might have heard that MSC had a little party over the weekend for the naming ceremony of their new ship MSC Bellissima. We had the pleasure of being at the naming ceremony and even staying on the ship for a couple of nights. Here is what our very own John Cooper had to say about the ship. Plus all of the pictures we took over the weekend!

“From the moment you step on MSC Bellissima you know there is something special about the ship. The first thing you see is the magnificent Galleria with the largest LED screen at sea, which just happens to be the ceiling! Then the Swarovski Crystal encrusted stairways just take your breath away.

What really got my attention was the vast amount of things to do on board, as well as the fabulous bars and restaurants. The British pub ‘The Masters of the Sea’ has a huge selection of UK beers, and has a real vibe about it. Here they show football and other sports, then of an evening they have a good old sing-along! There is the ‘London Theatre’ which has international shows every day, plus the exclusive ‘Cirque du Soleil at Sea’ shows. They also have a TV studio onboard which has all sorts of fun happening. Take a wander down to the Galleria of an evening and find party nights under the ever changing ceiling, which itself is an attraction with its own twice nightly shows!

When it comes to eating, the Market place buffet is truly impressive and open 20 hours a day! Bellissima has one of the best steak houses I have ever seen, the Butchers Cut. If you like more Mediterranean food then ‘Hola Tappas’ is a must. If after all of this you still have room there is one of the biggest chocolatiers I have ever seen on board, and the smells are just wonderful!

As for the kids, you will hardly see them! With dedicated kids clubs, including a tie up with Lego means they will be busy there. If that isn’t enough then there is the water park, rope works, tenpin bowling, 4D Cinema, F1 simulators, sports courts and so much more…

If you fancy a relaxing time, you have a choice of pools including the infinity pool at the rear of the ship or the indoor pool, as well as the main pool with its huge screen! And naturally there are the bubbling Jacuzzis as well. The Spa area is truly first class with virtually every treatment you can imagine.

The MSC Bellissima truly does reflect her name, Beauty at Sea! And if you take a trip on her, you will have a holiday you will never forget.
