Avalon Waterways want your experience with them to be as rich as possible and have included everything that they know will be important to your cruise enjoyment.

With so many amenities on board, whether you are making the most of happy hour by enjoying a glass of wine or a gin and tonic in the bar, or having a quiet moment in the Lounge with a cappuccino, there is plenty of space to stretch out and relax on an Avalon ship. Complimentary Wi-Fi access and free use of computers or laptops is available to help you stay in touch with friends and family. They've designed a cruise experience that includes all the right things...but still leaves room for your own preferences.

Reading Room & Natural History Library

A mini-library houses a pair of Web-ready computers and a collection of books about South America, the Galapagos and wildlife. (Wi-Fi is available in the library and bar/lecture room.)

Avalon Waterways know that no two travellers are alike so they don't assume all their guests will like the same activities and excursions. With more expertly led discovery options than any other river cruise line they make it possible for you to explore each port of call according to what intrigues you most.

Stargazing Program

Look to the stars and see the galaxy as you have never before. In the complete beauty of the Galápagos Islands at night learn all about the constellations and witness the abundance of shooting stars.

Glass-Bottom Boat & Sea Kayaks

And for those wanting to get out and about some more there is a glass-bottom boat, snorkel equipment and kayaks on board, giving the opportunity to observe the Galapagos’ rich marine life in more depth. As well as Hydrophone and 'splashcam' to get that little bit closer to the sealife.

Cultural Highlights & Lectures

Onboard cruisers enjoy lectures about nature and history supplied by the onboard naturalist crew.

Shore Excursions

Daily excursions to the islands, in small groups, are lead by the expert on-board bilingual guides who will share their passion for Galapagos with you whilst teaching you about the local flora and fauna. Enjoy an up close and personal experience with the wildlife as you dodge to avoid stepping on prehistoric looking iguanas lazing on the rocks in their hundreds, watch blue-footed boobies perform their comical mating dance and swim face to face with playful sea lions.

Cruise into total body wellness. Start your mornings with an exercise program in the Fitness Centre on the Boat Deck.

Fitness Centre
