Royal Caribbean Makes Muster Drills Fun With Operation: Little Bear
If you’re lucky enough to be heading onboard any of Royal Caribbean’s three brands in the near future, you can expect something a little different when it comes to the muster drill at the beginning of your cruise holiday.
In an aim to make the muster drill slightly more fun, Royal Caribbean have created their own ‘spy thriller’ safety video, so is it time for 007 himself to move over?
‘Operation:Little Bear’ follows a daring female spy as she attempts to track down a microchip hidden inside a golden teddy bear before it falls into the wrong hands. Guided by her partner off-ship, the spy has to navigate the cruise ship in a timely fashion, to stop the villain getting away. Plus in doing so she has to avoid breaking any of the ships safety practices, which are all highlighted.
The video production is excellent and almost looks like something you may see on the big screen, and shows Royal Caribbean moving away from the “Wash Your Hands” videos we’ve all seen onboard.
The eight-minute video has already begun showing on Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises, earlier this month and is set to roll out to Royal Caribbean’s fleet shortly. It will be shown as part of the muster drill and will provide a little light-hearted aspect to the very important safety procedures. It will also be available for viewing in cabins throughout each sailing, and in a variety of different languages as during the muster drill it will be shown in English only.
