Regent Seven Seas Announces New Ship Name

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced the name of their brand new luxury cruise ship, which is set to debut in 2020.

Seven Seas Splendor will be have a capacity of 750 passengers, and will be a twin-ship to Seven Seas Explorer, which is the line’s most luxurious and biggest ship. The cruise line is currently undertaking a $125 million refurbishment to upgrade the remainder of the fleet, Seven Seas Navigator, Seven Seas Voyager & Seven Seas Mariner, to meet the standard set by Explorer.

Seven Seas Splendor was chosen as part of a naming process which saw Regent ask for suggestions from travel agents, guests as well as employees. With over 14,000 submissions, Splendor was chosen among nearly 2,600 suggestions.
