Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that their upcoming ship, Norwegian Bliss will sail from New York in 2019.
The news was announced on a morning radio show hosted by the godfather of Norwegian Bliss, Elvis Duran. During the show Norwegian Cruise Line President Andy Stuart broke the news, and revealed that Bliss would be sailing from New York beginning in November 2019.
The news means that Bliss, which is the third ship in the Breakaway-plus class vessel will be the largest cruise ship sailing from New York. The vessel is still under construction in Papenburg, Germany and before heading to New York will be based out of Seattle sailing Alaskan Cruises, before heading to the Caribbean for winter season 2018. After the second Alaska season in 2019 Bliss will head to New York.
Guests sailing from New York will be able to look forward to eighteen different itineraries overall, with opportunities to explore the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida, with roundtrip sailings ranging from seven to fourteen days.
