Carnival Victory Receives A Big Upgrade

Carnival Victory will receive a big upgrade as she undergoes her second spell in dry dock in three years.

The ship is set to receive a major makeover as she enters her eighteenth year of service with Carnival Cruise Line, having been launched in October of 2000. Currently in dry dock at Grand Bahama Shipyard, the cruise line wants Carnival Victory to emerge with the now-standard Fun Ship 2.0 enhancements.

Among the changes include the addition of Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, BlueIguana Tequila Bar, Bonsai Sushi Express and the RedFrog Rum Bar. The Cherry On Top sweets shop will also be added and the deli has been re-branded and will now feature a new menu with seven sandwiches available, including meatball, buffalo chicken among others.

Another noticeable change is new cabin categories that are being added onboard. These include 260-square-feet Scenic Ocean View staterooms and 320-square-foot Scenic Grand Ocean View rooms, as well as Captain’s Suites, these 820-square-foot cabins will offer a large balcony as well as two full size bathrooms as well as separate sleeping rooms and a large living area.

Carnival Victory will leave her current 17-day dry dock period on January 21st.
