If you’ve ever caught a sunrise or sunset at sea, you know that they’re the most beautiful kind. The sun has set on Carnival Destiny, a legendary, record-setting ship from the day she debuted. The end? Nope — Carnival has transformed this ship into something that shines even brighter. Meet the incredible light of a brand-new dawn, Carnival Sunshine. Everything the sunlight touches on Carnival Sunshine has been doused with an extra dose of fun, and there’s plenty atop this ship, where you can spend your days being kissed by the warm rays of the sun. There’s the biggest Serenity area ever, featuring three decks, plenty of recliners, and even a waterfall. Carnival WaterWorks, the onboard water park, packs both favourites and awesome new slides, like the slick Speedway Splash. There’s also SportSquare, where you can let your inner champion run free (around the jogging track), traverse SkyCourse high up above, or even engage in a little one-on-one, from ping pong to foosball to giant chess. Step out of the sun and try out some shade (and it’s some pretty cool shade, at that). The first thing you’ll see is the Sunshine Atrium, let’s just say first impressions count. From there, check out dining options like Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse and new choice Ji Ji Asian Kitchen. All the latest Carnival bars are here: RedFrog Pub, BlueIguana Tequila Bar, EA SPORTS Bar and Alchemy Bar as well as the already-classic Havana Bar! You’ll enjoy musical revues up on stage from Playlist Productions, while Hasbro, The Game Show gets cruisers like you up on stage, competing in larger-than-life family favourites come to life.

DJ IRIE

Nobody can get the party started like a great DJ, right? That’s why Carnival have brought DJ IRIE into the mix (pun intended) to make the nightlife onboard a Carnival cruise hotter than ever. He’ll be heading up “DJ IRIE’s Spin’iversity,” a program designed to train budding DJs to keep their spinning skills sharp and their personalities party-ready. Oh, and as for music, graduates will be spinning expanded musical catalogues in clubs across the fleet for maximum guest body-rocking.

Cherry on Top

A cruise is the perfect time to treat yourself to something sweet, and Cherry On Top happens to be the perfect place. You’ll find this well-stocked candy-and-more-store not only great for enjoying some of your confectionary favourites, but the place to pick up branded Cherry On Top gear and gifts for that special someone, even if — admit it — that someone sometimes happens to be you!

Live Music

Want to rock ’n’ roll every night and every day? Well, you’ve come to the right ship. Carnival bring some of the best performers on land out to sea for an ambience that can’t be beaten. From happy-go-lucky island rock at RedFrog Pub to sing-alongs at the piano bar to let’s-get-this-party-started jams on Lido deck, chances are you’ll find a live performance on board that gets your hands clapping and toes tapping.

Karaoke

Grab the mic and channel your inner rock king, pop princess or disco queen, when you join in the karaoke fun aboard a Carnival cruise. Choose from traditional karaoke or the SuperStar Live Karaoke, where you don’t just pick the song you want to sing — you perform it backed by a live band playing guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and, yes, even your own back-up singers! Whichever karaoke experience you choose, choose from hundreds of titles that span a wide variety of genres, from Motown, country and rock classics to today’s pop hits.

Atrium & Lobby Bar

The atrium is not only where you’ll find the grand staircase and wonder at the scenic high ceiling — it’s also the heart of any Carnival ship. Day or night, you can get your questions answered at guest services, plan some fun at the shore excursion desk, enjoy music that helps set the atmosphere… and even see what’s good at the full bar and happening on the dance floor.

Video Arcade

If you love to play video games, you’re in luck. Carnival's video arcade boasts a huge array of games, and is open to players of all ages, all night and all day. So get some tokens from the vending machine and let the fun times begin. Challenge your friends to a game, or just see if you can beat the top score. After all, with the video arcade open 24 hours and an entire cruise ahead of you, you have plenty of time to try.

Carnival's Seaside Theatre

Night time isn’t the only time you’ll find stars on your cruise. Day or night, find a spot on deck and check out Carnival’s Seaside Theatre’s huge outdoor screen. Hit movies, sporting events and even cartoons for the kiddies are just some of the features you’ll find at the outdoor movie theatre. Check the Fun Times to see what’s playing during your cruise. Then get some popcorn, a friend or three and get ready to kick back and enjoy the entertainment!

Dive-In Movies

Ready to see stars? Park yourself in front of the really big screen and settle in for a night at the cinema, under some real stars. From the comfort of your pool-side lounge chair, or even the pool itself, you’ll enjoy a big-name movie from categories like Date Night, Best Picture and Super Hero. And don’t think that being in the middle of the sea means going without the usual comforts. There’s not only popcorn but blankets too. So lounge around, snuggle up and try to remember the last time you truly enjoyed a night at the movies.

Pool and Deck Parties

Whether it’s celebrating sail-away, marking midnight or, well, just because it’s vacation time, there’s always a reason to party on a Carnival cruise. You won’t be surprised that Carnival take their pool and deck parties very seriously, and pull out all the stops to keep things kickin’. From live music to lively DJs, fun fellow cruisers to bubbly social hosts, and some of the greatest vistas this side of shore, open-air party-time is the time, and place, to be.

The Fun Shops

You’ll find the perfect gifts for friends, family or yourself at the onboard gift shops, stocked with so much good stuff you’ll want to shop ’til you drop (into a deck chair, of course). With everything from T-shirts to high-end timepieces, lockets to your favourite spirits (available duty-free), you’re bound to find something special for that special someone (even if that special someone is you). There are even sales on everything from portraits to spa products, so be sure to check out your daily onboard itinerary to see what’s going on during your cruise.

RedFrog Rum Bar

Carnival are pleased to introduce the RedFrog Rum Bar, where the frog keeps the fun hopping day and night with all that island flava you know and love. Join the party at this pool-side bar featuring a great selection of “frog approved” Caribbean rum-based concoctions available by the glass or pitcher and plenty of Carnival’s signature private-label draft beer, ThirstyFrog Red.

BlueIguana Tequila Bar

BlueIguana Tequila Bar is the onboard spot to chill and enjoy a slushy tequila drink or an ice-cold Mexican cerveza. The menu offers up Mexican favourites, including several brands of tequila and a slew of Mexican brews. There’s a line up of frozen concoctions, cocktails and margaritas served by the glass or pitcher and even a special Mexican beer cocktail (yes, really). Where can you find this little slice of Mexican paradise? Next to the pool, of course. So stay cool and take in the bar’s vacation vibe while you kick back on your cruise – that’s what the official bar mascot Blue the Iguana would tell you.

RedFrog Pub

Get into an island state of mind before you even set foot on one. RedFrog Pub is the laid-back, no-worries, oh-so-lively Key West-inspired pub. Sample Caribbean fare, dominate at the foosball table, enjoy some sweet tunes from live musicians and sip tasty signature private-label brew, ThirstyFrog Red. So kick back and feel the island vibe come to life. You’ll be a local here before you know it.

Sports Bar

If you’re into sports, get yourself into the first-ever EA SPORTS Bar, the perfect place to catch a game and play a few, too. Grab a drink, order some snacks, watch your favourite games live on big flat-screen TVs, and keep up with real-time scores from across the sports world. And if you’re got that competitive spirit, you can really get right into the game with the latest video game titles from EA SPORTS. It’s free to play, so find a friend or three and get ready for action.

Piano Bar

Play it again, Sam. Or Diana. Or whatever your name is. Because this is the bar where you call the shots – and the songs. Pull up a seat, order your favourite cocktail, and let your friendly piano player know the songs you'd like to hear. Then join the sing-along for a hand-clapping, foot-tapping, finger-snapping good time. Don't feel like flexing your vocal cords? No worries. Shy songbirds are welcome here, too. And since it's open from early evening to late at night, it's the perfect spot for a before-dinner drink or singing until the early hours of the morning.

Nightclub

Get up and get down at the most happenin’ club in the Caribbean. The Carnival DJs are spinning today’s hottest hits and yesterday’s golden oldies, guaranteed to get you out of your seat and tapping your feet. Whether you’re doing the robot or the worm or just swaying to the music, you’ll want to dance until the sun rises. Or at least until last call. Carnival's themed parties are pretty fun as well.

Casino

Try to keep your excitement under control — at least for the time being — because you're gonna need a steady hand and a little luck to win at the casino prize games. There are cash prizes and awesome electronics at stake, so when you win, you win big. At that point, feel free to go a little crazy, jump up and down if that's your thing… because you and your steady hand are winners!

Or why not try your hand at Roulette, Blackjack, Slot Machines, Poker or some of the Casino Tournaments!

Internet Café

Open 24 hours, the Internet café features private terminals where you have the ability to surf the Web, chat online and access your private Emil account. You'll also find FunHub terminals located throughout select ships, for when you just need to connect real quick. And if you’ve brought your laptop or other Wi-Fi enabled equipment onboard, feel free to log on with your personal device.

Library

Looking for the perfect place to curl up for some quiet time? Look no further than the library. Sink into a cosy chair and let the hours drift by in this quiet onboard haven. It’s the perfect place to catch up on your reading, do a crossword, write a postcard to those back home, or stimulate your brain with a game of chess, checkers or Scrabble. If you forgot to bring a book, peruse the shelves for a title that interests you, or leave behind your just-finished paperback for another cruiser to enjoy.

Havana Bar

A spot that's intriguing by night and friendly anytime, step into the Havana Bar and be transported to antebellum Cuba preserved today in old postcards, vintage literature… and classic delicacies. Take in great ocean views as you taste something authentically Cuban: café Cubano (that’s Cuban coffee!), handcrafted cocktails of Cuban origin (think daiquiris, mojitos and more), or mouth-wateringly fresh — and wallet-wateringly free — Cuban pastries. And this spot definitely doesn’t cool down when the sun goes down, with music and dancing keeping things hot well into the night.

Bingo

Bingo buzz fills the air. You’ve got three cards in front of you, and you’re ready to play. What will tonight’s big game be? Postage stamp? Big X? Big T? Get ready to play some crazy-exciting, hoot-and-holler-if-you-win-big bingo. Cash prizes start at $100, and a jackpot game might add another zero to the pot. Other prizes include tour passes, gifts from onboard shops, spa services and more. So grab some bingo cards. That next B-6 could be the lucky call that lands you a whopping $2,000 jackpot or even a free cruise.

Onboard Games

Kids never need an excuse to play, did you know that cognitive scientists — fully-grown adults without bedtimes — believe that play is essential to childhood development? At Carnival, we believe play is important to ALL ages, so onboard games are a huge part of the Carnival experience for all, young and old! From physical challenges to scavenger hunts to the very appropriate Battle of the Ages — the trivia game that actually pits kids against adults — Carnival puts the “all” in “fun for all.” (Not to mention the “fun.”)

Trivia

The word trivia comes from “trivial,” which basically means ‘stuff that’s not important to know.’ Wait… unimportant?! Not if you’re planning on walking away with an unlimited supply of bragging rights… good for the rest of your cruise, not to mention when you get home. Don’t just show what you know — flaunt it. Here, being a “know-it-all” pays off.

Alchemy Bar

You don’t need to be a mix-master to appreciate Alchemy – you just have to be up for trying something new. They’ve been stirring up some magic behind the scenes here at Carnival to produce a tasty series of all-new cocktails served at this unique vintage-themed cocktail “pharmacy.” Let their cocktail specialists prescribe you something from the bar, with both nonalcoholic and alcoholic elixirs to remedy what ails you. Or, create your own custom concoction from a variety of unique ingredients.

They’re all from the world's most popular contemporary artists, and all on your next Carnival cruise. Sip complimentary champagne, as you learn terms like intaglio. Expand your mind, as you encounter the fourth dimension through kinetic art. And of course, feel like a champion as the auctioneer declares you the winning bidder. Carnival auctions also feature sports memorabilia from your favourite champions. Plus, you're guaranteed to start or expand your art collection, just by attending the action — everyone receives a free work of art! Whether you’re new to the art world or a seasoned pro, you can take home something spectacular.

Dance Classes

When you’re on a Carnival cruise, there are plenty of places to bust out your moves when the mood strikes: in the dance club, at a deck party, in line for tandoori. Some people are born with all the right moves, but the rest of us need a little instruction to smooth the sharp edges off. That’s why you’ll find a host of free dance classes that sail along with you, helping you make the most of your cruise… which is perfect because a cruise is just the kind of vacation that puts you in the dancing mood!

Cooking Demonstration

Learn to cook, Steakhouse-style from the team of chefs as they demonstrate the tricks of the trade used to make those multi-course dinners everyone loves so much. Carnival take the joy of cooking and transform it into a delightful hour-long presentation of kitchen skill and ingenuity… where taste tests are always included.

Tip: This fun-for-the-whole-family event fills up fast, so get there early.

Mixologist Competitions

Are you known back home as the cocktail captain; raising spirits, mixing it up and pouring it over ice… pleasing the palates of friends and family, alike? Come cruise and show them what you’ve got. The onboard competition may be stiff, but don’t let that shake you — stir up your signature concoction and make flavour worth a savour using spirits from all over the map. Throughout the cruise, everyone will be able to enjoy this winning cocktail at bars throughout the ship.

Cruise the Vineyards

From the soft and fruity flavour of the Merlot to the light and dry Sauvignon Blanc, for those who appreciate wine, a Cruise the Vineyard package is a must. Choose from three packages featuring selections from Italy, New Zealand, France, Australia, Germany, California, Washington and Oregon. Sip and savour favourites at a discounted price — ask your Dining Room server how.

Shore Excursions

They've hand selected the best local providers at every port of call so you can relax and focus on having fun on your shore excursions. They take care of all the details and wait for all excursions to return before departing. A detailed list of relevant excursions can be given by your travel operator.

Serenity Adult Retreat

It wouldn’t be a dream vacation without a little "me time," right? That’s what Carnival had in mind when they created Serenity. It’s an adult only area available to guests 21 and older and features everything necessary to create the perfect tranquil "getaway within your getaway." Take advantage of complete bar service provided by attentive waiters. Chill in the sun, under one of the colourful, oversized umbrellas or in the separate shaded area. Enjoy a dip in one of the whirlpools looking out over the great blue sea. All while listening to mellow music to keep the vibe sweet and serene.

Cloud 9 Spa

Sometimes you just need to get away… from all that vacation. Seriously? Look, they know that sitting at home now, it’s hard for you to imagine wanting a vacation from your vacation, but trust us — it’s nice to have a place to unwind after the day’s excitement, to escape to a world designed from the ground up for relaxation. Cloud 9 Spa staff are masters — no, artists — trained in the craft of simply helping you chill. What’s their secret? Massages, facials, body wraps and more — these are the tools of the trade… and the trade is ultimate relaxation.

Jogging Track

Who said you can’t run on water? Lace up your trainers and hit the deck for a run alongside the ocean at any time of day or night. Whether you feel like an early morning jog or a midnight run under the stars, the jogging track is always open and available for anyone looking to get their heart rate up over the great blue sea. If jogging isn’t your thing, consider this a top-notch place for a late-night stroll and some stargazing.

Yoga and Pilates

Carnival's yoga and Pilates classes will have you finding inner peace before you know it. With classes ranging from meditative stretching to more intensive, advanced levels, you’ll be sure to find the class that’s perfect for you. Check out your daily Fun Times to see which classes are being offered, then head on over to the Fitness Centre to participate.

Fitness Centre

Stay fit on your vacation with the help of Spa Carnival’s fully equipped fitness centre. Go for a jog, lift some weights, or use the state-of-the-art equipment to work up a sweat and get stronger. If it’s heart-pumping cardio classes you’re after, try indoor cycling, aerobics or circuit training. If you’re in more of a chill-out mood, try yoga or Pilates. Some of the classes have a small fee, but the fitness centre is always free and open all day.

Hair and Beauty Salon

After you’ve met with the experienced staff, you’ll be seeing your best self ever. Carnival's European-style salon is staffed with trained professionals who specialise in pampering you and bringing out all your best features. Whether it’s a glamorous up do for evening or just a great cut, new colour or deep conditioning for your hair and scalp, the staff are there to make it happen. Don’t forget to give your hands and feet some attention with a luxurious manicure and pedicure. You’ll be feeling brand-new in no time.

Mini Golf

Have a swinging good time at the onboard mini-golf course. The greens are meticulously maintained and the view is pretty spectacular. Just remember your follow-through and no bogeys allowed. Best of all? No collared shirt is required! Oh, and playing is complimentary — just ask a staff member where to get clubs.

SportsSquare

The sky’s the limit when it comes to fitness fun at Carnival's innovative outdoor recreation area. First, there’s the ropes — SkyCourse — where you can test your courage high above the sea. Then there’s the basketball court, which can also be used for soccer and volleyball, and the mini-golf course that lights up at night. Add to that a smorgasbord of pool, foosball and ping-pong tables, exercise bikes, elliptical machines, weight lifting equipment and punching bags, and this space is an action lover’s dream come true.

Carnival WaterWorks

Wanna splish-splash — the day away? Head on over to WaterWorks, Carnival's very own onboard waterpark. First up, there’s the Twister Waterslide, designed to make other waterslides jealous. Twister is hundreds of feet of spiraling awesomeness that starts you off high in the air and gets you down low with one of the fastest, wettest rides you’ll find anywhere. Select ships feature side-by-side racing slides, which make serious competition seriously fun. You’ll want to wear your speed suit for Speedway Splash, which features hundreds of feet of racing action, plus special lighting effects you can experience while on the road to victory. DrainPipe ends your slide experience with one major swirl of a finish, while PowerDrencher takes soaking seriously — imagine the biggest bucket of water you’ve ever seen, raining down on you from above. And this isn’t just kids’ stuff — the young at heart are encouraged to zoom and splash around too!

Pools

POOL DAY! Whether today's the day for a bit of a dip, a dash of splash or even some swimming — or just a serious poolside lounging session — your Carnival cruise has the just pool for you. In fact, pools are so important to a great cruise that they designed many of our ships to have two of them. At an aft pool you'll catch a breeze, plus a sea view featuring the ship's wake, while midship pools have an grand view of a different kind: the big screen's right there for the viewing. And no matter which you find yourself chilling in, the sunbeams are yours for the soaking.

Men's Services

Hey man, been to the spa lately? Well, why let the ladies have all the fun? You can actually enjoy a lot of the same stuff they do, plus manly services like razor-close barbershop-style shaves — pair one with a facial to really get a good thing going up top. Speaking of the barber, a cruise is a great time to rock a whole new hairstyle, a quick grey-hair darkening, or even just a fresh trim. And what guy wouldn’t go for a little extra relaxation with a massage? Exactly, bro.

Medi-Spa

Has anyone told you lately that you’re a beautiful person? They like you the way you are. Now, with that said, they want to let you know that your Carnival cruise contains a Medi-spa. They’re certainly not saying that you need them, but if you’ve been thinking about Botox or Dysport treatments, this spa is a good place to do them. Get them on vacation and they’ll always be administered by our onboard Medi-spa physician, a licensed medical doctor. These are non-surgical, anti-wrinkle procedures that show results in days, and last for months, so you can keep enjoying the benefits even after you’re back home.

Camp Ocean

At Camp Ocean, 2–11 year-olds stay busy, keep active and have fun as they enjoy all new ocean-themed activities. Carnival put campers into supervised, age-based groups, and give each a cool marine-life label that’s sure to raise the sails on camaraderie at sea. The smallest little ones — ages 2 to 5 — join the Penguin colony and engage in activities like Musical Icebergs and Ocean Bingo… even learning a thing or two about buoyancy!. Those aged 6 to 8, are the Stingrays, who might be found enjoying Pirate Game Night, making sea salt art or even designing their own aquarium. The big fish are the Sharks — ages 9 to 11 — who really sink their teeth into playing Marine Life Trivia, creating a giant ocean mural, and scoring big with sea-themed volleyball or football.

Camp Carnival

Camp Carnival offers tons of activities designed for children in three different age groups: 2 to 5 years, 6 to 8 years, and 9 to 11 years. The counsellors, each with education or childcare experience, are on the clock making sure everyone in the small groups of kids are having fun. When it’s mealtime, kids get their own menus, with favourites like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, and more

Night Owls

For a nominal fee, kids 11 and under can have fun all night, with others their age until as late as 1 a.m, with the Night Owls scheme. They’ll enjoy music, activities, games and giveaways at supervised parties while you dance the night away.

Circle 'C'

What does the “C” in Circle “C” stand for? Well, “chill,” “connect” and “cool,” just to name a few. It’s where young teens ages 12 to 14 go to hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy some pretty awesome activities like dance parties, games, outdoor movies and more, in the special Circle “C” area or around the ship. It’s all supervised by friendly and fun-loving counsellors who want your young teens to have the best vacation ever.

Club O2

Your parents deserve a nice vacation… but then again, so do you. So let’s let them go do their thing while you do yours. Where to? Club O2. Hang out and do stuff like watch movies, listen to music from this decade, play sports and video games, join karaoke jam sessions… maybe even have a pool party or two, all with other high schoolers ages of 15 to 17.

Teens Active Play

Everybody’s got their game — the one they’re just made to play — and teens are no exception. On a Carnival cruise, teens can show ‘em how it’s done back home in a wide variety of sports games and activities. Whether it’s big-fun classics like basketball and dodgeball, precision pastimes like foosball and ping-pong or get-up-and-move active video gaming, we’ve got as many ways to win as there are to play.

Teens Digital Play

Teens know that gaming isn’t the antisocial activity it’s sometimes thought to be. Gaming is about cooperation and competition, not to mention the perfect way to sharpen and showcase skills like problem-solving and goal-oriented thinking. And — duh — having fun with others, which we do all the time at Circle "C" and Club O2. Have a seat, grab a controller and journey your way through vivid electronic worlds, whether you’re flying solo… or with a new friend as your ‘Player 2.’

Kids Active Play

To you a cruise may be just the time for chilling, but “relaxing vacation” certainly isn’t on a kid’s bucket list! Slow-time for you is go-time for them, and we’re glad to accommodate the little adrenaline junkies with a range of activities that get them up and, of course, having an absolute blast. Age-appropriate stuff like treasure hunts, obstacle courses, sports competitions and playground outings at sea are all a step up from similar stuff back on land… both because we’re talking Carnival here, and because uptime for them means well-deserved downtime for you.

Kids Digital Play

Parents can be concerned — and rightly so — about the time kids spend in front of a screen. But this time isn’t wasted — it’s just one of the ways that they learn about the world around them. Movies entertain by giving viewers a “slice of life,” fostering empathy as they show how people live. And video games have a host of benefits, from simple hand-eye coordination to promoting problem-solving skills and goal-oriented thinking, to of course the yin and yang of cooperative and competitive play, which helps youngsters learn to relate to one another. These activities aren’t all the kids will be doing — screen time accounts for just part of a balanced play-time that’s always age-appropriate, and definitely about more than just the high score.

ZSPA

There’s a lot to being a teen — they need to kick back, chill and sometimes even indulge just as much as adults… if not more! Carnival understand them, which is why they’ve tailored their onboard ZSPA treatments to their unique needs. ZSPA keeps teens looking their best from head to toe, with everything from trendy hairstyles to pedicures. Okay, so it’s not all about looking good — it’s about feeling great too. We make that happen, whether they want to do more for themselves with specialised fitness classes, or perhaps do a little less with relaxation and indulgence programs worth ‘ooh’ing and ‘ahh’ing about. So whether it’ll be your teen’s first time, or they’re already a seasoned spa pro, they speak their language at ZSPA.

Arts & Crafts

To kids, arts and crafts is a fun way to spend an afternoon. To a parent, on the other hand, it’s something much more. From their earliest fingerpaintings onto macaroni art and beyond, the stuff they bring home is more than just stuff — it’s art — and every last scrap of it is nothing short of precious, the work of a master. Your Carnival cruise presents plenty of opportunities for your budding Picassos to express themselves, from refrigerator hangables to less traditional media like sand art, hand-decorated t-shirts, pirate treasures and beyond. You know, future living-room-museum pieces.

Beary Cuddly Workshop

Most kids have a favourite teddy bear, that one stuffed buddy they remember with the fondest of cuddly memories. They don’t usually have a concrete reason for choosing a fave — it just kind of happens, but their devotion to that lucky bear is unshakable. Their favourite bear yet may very well be the friend they don’t just design, but bring to life at Beary Cuddly Workshop aboard their Carnival cruise! It doesn’t matter if the new addition gets lovingly dragged all over town or simply enjoys a quiet life on the shelf — by creating a bear on your cruise, Carnival and your kids are teaming up to support the kids of St. Jude!

Make Your Own Pizza

Toss it, stretch it, sauce it, cheese it — kids take control during this fun-filled pizza-making experience. Spread some sauce, pile the cheese on high, throw on some toppings… then they get ready to munch on their work of art. Since this is a kids-and-teens-only event, they decide which toppings go on and which stay off — sorry parents, for once, you don’t get a vote.

Seuss at Sea

From the whimsical and always wonderful world of Dr. Seuss comes Cats in Hats, Fish Red and Blue, and both kinds of Things — 1 and 2. And they’re all coming to a Carnival cruise near you as the world of Dr. Seuss leaps off the page and onto Seuss at Sea.

Dr. Seuss’s timeless stories are the kind kids memorise, and this is the kind of cruise you’ll remember for a lifetime. The whole family will still enjoy all the classic Carnival activities, but the littlest ones, and their families, will also enjoy an all-new, extra-special experience as the fantastical world of Dr. Seuss comes to life around them.

Enjoy a special onboard character parade, interactive story time, arts & crafts activities, character breakfast featuring their favourite Dr. Seuss friends and more. Seuss at Sea truly brings your child’s favourite books to life.

Disabled Facilities

Carnival ships have specially designed staterooms for guests using wheelchairs. They have two classifications of staterooms: Accessible staterooms are reserved for guests that have a mobility disability or disability that requires the use of the accessible features that are provided in the stateroom. Carnival require their guests to acknowledge the need for the accessible stateroom by completing a Special Requirements Form. This form will be sent to guests once the reservation has been secured and they have notified Carnival Cruise Lines that they or the person the stateroom is being secured for, requires the stateroom. If an accessible stateroom is booked by a guest who does not need the accessibility features in the stateroom, they may be moved at any time to another non-accessible stateroom in order to accommodate a guest with a disability. Modified Cabins: these cabins are designed for guests who may utilise a wheelchair or similar assistance device (e.g. for distance) (and include features such as grab bars and shower seats in the bathrooms). Accessible Cabins: these cabins are designed for guest with highly limited or no mobility who utilise wheelchairs or other similar assistive devices (and include features such as turning space; accessible routes throughout the cabin; and accessible bathrooms). As with all Carnival reservations, staterooms within each category are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve an accessible or modified stateroom in advance. Standard Cabins: these cabins have an approximately 22"-30" entry doorway an 8" lip into the cabin bathroom, a 4" lip into the shower stall, and 7" lip to the balcony (if applicable). Mobility Scooters: Passenger scooters must be stored and batteries recharged in your stateroom. Due to safety considerations, wheelchairs and scooters cannot be stored in the corridors. Your personal scooter should be able to fit in a standard stateroom with a 21" entry doorway. If your scooter is larger than 21", you must purchase a modified stateroom or rent a smaller scooter. Segways and other similar vehicles are not permitted onboard Carnival vessels.

Deaf / Hard of Hearing

For guests who are deaf or hard of hearing a portable room kit is available if requested prior to sailing. It includes a visual-tactile alert system that provides alerts for the door knocking, telephone ringing, alarm clock and smoke detector. A TTY (teletypewriter) is also available which interfaces with the Information Desk which is available 24 hours a day to meet guests stateroom needs.

Blind / Visually Impaired

Braille signage is available onboard Carnival ships, indicating cabin numbers and public rooms names. The only Braille format documents available are the in-cabin directories and room service menus. Large print format is available for the dining room menus, Carnival Fun Times, and shore excursion information. Carnival can also provide an audible format of the Carnival Fun Times. Please contact Guest Services once onboard should you require any of these items.

Service Dogs

Carnival Cruise Lines only permits service/working dogs onboard, a working/service dog is legally defined and is trained to meet the disability related need. Carnival do not allow guests to sail with therapy/companion dogs or service dogs in training. Service dogs must have current vaccinations; these vaccinations are in addition to what governing port officials require. Please know that many of the ports you may visit will only accept annual rabies vaccinations. The three-year rabies vaccination is not recognised in many countries. It is the guest’s responsibility to contact the Department of Agriculture or your Service Dogs Veterinarian to obtain information on the requirements at each port. The failure to have the required vaccinations or documentation may result in your service animal not be able to disembark or quarantine. If you choose to disembark the ship in a visiting port of call, in which your service dog does not have the required documents, or you choose to leave your service dog onboard. You must make arrangements for the care of your dog. The ship's staff cannot care for the dog, nor can the dog be left in the stateroom unattended. Please carry the original records of vaccinations and any permits required for visiting ports of call with you while traveling. A copy of these permits must be left with the Guest Services desk upon boarding.

Smoking and E-Cigarette

All staterooms and suite accommodations are an entirely smoke free environment, including the outside balcony. Cigarette and E-cigarette smoking will continue to be allowed in designated exterior open deck areas, as well as in the night club, and in certain areas within the casino (for playing guests) and casino bar. Cigar and pipe smoking will continue to be allowed in designated exterior open deck areas only. Note: Guests who smoke in their staterooms or on their balconies will be assessed a $250 cleaning and refreshing fee on their Sail & Sign account. Information on this fee is included in Carnival's cruise ticket contract. Guest agrees to strictly comply with Carnival’s non-smoking policy

Special Dietary Requirements

Most simple diet requirements can be accommodated onboard. Carnival do not have Dieticians onboard; therefore, they can only offer assistance with simple requests such as the method of preparation (including no cross-contamination) of menu items. If you have a food allergy, please consult with the dining staff for assistance with meal options and food preparations. Arrangements for all special diet requirements need to be arranged with the guest's Head Waiter on the first night of the cruise. Carnival Cruise Lines can provide their guests with the following special dietary needs: Vegetarian, Low-Cholesterol, Low-Fat, Low-Carbohydrates, Low-Sugar, Gluten Free, Indian Vegetarian, and Kosher. For Indian Vegetarian and Kosher meals, two weeks advance notice prior to your cruise is required.
