CMV cruise to ‘dine’ for in 2019

Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) are offering a cruise to ‘dine’ for in 2019 when Vasco da Gama joins the fleet 22 April on her maiden voyage.

This 45-night cruise starts in Singapore and visits no less than 20 different ports in 14 separate countries before ending the spectacular voyage in London Tilbury.

Vasco da Gama is the newest addition to the CMV fleet and is a medium sized traditional and classic cruise ship. What makes Vasco da Gama so different to other CMV ships is the choice of three main restaurants plus two premium dining venues – The Grill & Chef’s Table where guests have the option to pay a supplement for an alternative dining option. Unlike CMV’s other ships, dining is flexible and not restricted to specific sittings. Casual dining is also available in the more relaxed Club Bistro and passengers can enjoy eating outside from the Alfresco Grill.

Vasco da Gama will sail from Singapore and visit the Far East and the Indian sub-continent before cruising through the Suez Canal. With 20 exciting ports of call there is plenty to see and do. The first countries on the voyage; Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and India will provide options for some exotic excursions including an overland trip to see the Taj Mahal. Sailing to the Middle East opens up the chance to explore the ancient sites in Egypt and Jordan.

The scenery and sightseeing will change as Vasco Da Gama enters the Mediterranean and calls at a couple of the popular Greek Islands, Israel, Malta and Italy with a chance to visit Rome. She continues sailing through the Med calling into Barcelona and begins the final stages of this epic voyage with further stops in Gibraltar, Casablanca and Lisbon before arriving at the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury 6 June 2019.
