Celebrity Reveals Edge’s Dining Options
Celebrity Cruises have announced the details of the dining options that will feature onboard their newest ship, Celebrity Edge.
The first Celebrity ship in 10 years will launch in November 2018 and is set to have more bar and dining options than any of the other ships in the Celebrity fleet. The cruise line announced details on the 29 venues they will have onboard at an event in New York.
Edge will feature four main dining rooms, each with its own unique selections, in addition to this the ship will contain six specialty restaurants. Overall the ship will have 15 restaurants and cafes, and 12 bars and lounges.
Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, said: “When you have a clean slate to begin with you think about the things that you do right, that would be unique and that amplify a main pillar of our DNA, which is culinary.”
Specialty restaurants onboard will include Rooftop Garden Grill which will prodvide ‘backyard barbecue’ dishes and Fine Cut Steakhouse which will allow guests a chance to sample premium meat cuts.
Raw on 5 will offer guests the chance to try seafood dishes such as oysters, crab and lobster from New England and St Tropez, with a beautiful sea view back drop. Eden restaurant which has already been revealed by Celebrity Cruises will have an open-air kitchen, and Edenists will serve guests their dishes.
One of the most exciting dining options will be ‘Dinner on the Edge’ which will be on the ships Magic Carpet, the floating platform which can move from deck two to sixteen. Guests will be able to dine here whilst the Magic Carpet is on level sixteen, and all the menus will be locally sourced with a chef going into local markets to pick up ingredients.
With 12 bars and lounges onboard, guests will never be stuck for somewhere to go for a tipple, and past Celebrity guests will recognize a few of the names. Onboard will be Cafe al Bacio, Casino Bar, Eden Bar, Il Secondo Bacio, Martini Bar, Pool Bar, Retreat Lounge, Sunset Bar, Theater Bar, The Club and The Retrear Pool Bar.
