Work Begins On Carnival’s Third ‘Vista’ Class Ship

Work has begun on Carnival’s third ‘Vista’ class cruise ship, after the steel cutting ceremony took place at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera.

Set to be delivered in autumn 2019, this new vessel will be a sister ship to Carnival Vista which was delivered to Carnival in 2016 as well as Carnival Horizon which is also still currently under construction at Fincantieri with delivery scheduled for early 2018.

Weighing in at 133,500 gross tons and measuring 323 metres long, the Vista class ships are the largest ships that Fincantieri has ever built for Carnival’s fleet. She will have 1,987 passenger cabins plus 761 of the crew, meaning she will be able to accommodate more than 6,500 passengers.

The Vista Class ships are cutting-edge in terms of layout, and offer a wide rang of onboard entertainments, restaurants, theatres, shops and wellness centres. As with previous Vista ships there will be the ‘Havana Area’ an exclusive and private area with cabins, open bars and an infinity pool, and access is limited to those whose cabins are in the Havana Area.
