P&O Cruises has revealed the details of a multi-million pound refit for two of its ships, Arcadia and Oceana.
Arcadia, which entered service in 2005, will undergo a refit in Hamburg in the next few days and will receive a ship-wide refurb which will consist of updating cabins and suites, the main dining restaurants as well as bars, and fine dining venues. Arcadia’s first cruise after her refit will be a three-night Belgium cruise which will depart from Southampton on November 15th.
Oceana, which joined the P&O Cruises fleet from Princess Cruises in 2002, will benefit from a full refurbishment too, which will include youth spaces with improved entertainment equipment and an update area for teenagers. The Terrace Bar will also see refurbished hot tubs as well as a brand new canopy over a swimming pool which will extend out to cover the bar. As well as this carpets will be refitted, as well as curtains, floors and furniture in the cabins and public spaces onboard.
The ship, which can hold 2,018 passengers will go into dry dock at the end of November and when she re-emerges she will undertake a Canary Islands & Portugal cruise departing from Southampton for 12 nights on December 17th.
