Norwegian Encore: A review from Our Agent here in Vision Cruise
“From the minute I stepped on board NCL Encore it had the WOW factor I haven’t seen on a ship for a long time.
The atrium was huge and felt very open and welcoming with a nice bar, Starbucks and big screen and dancing area to start the night off with pre-dinner drinks listening to the live band.
Onward to find my stateroom, it was a mix of tiled floors and carpet which to me gave it a bit of a boutique hotel feel which was a nice change, the staterooms from the outside looked very expensive and the inside did not disappoint either. Although long and narrow I had a sofa bed, very spacious bathroom with a great shower with a sliding door and NO shower curtain in sight!! So all ready for dinner and off for a few drinks at many of the bars on board. My first stop was the Sugarcane Mojito Bar and it didn’t stop there, so many to choose from including The Cellars — A Michael Mondavi Family Wine Bar, The District Brew House, The A-List Bar, Maltings Whiskey Bar, Mix Bar, and the Skyline Bar.
Taste was my choice of dining which is one of the main restaurants that everyone can dine in without a cover charge, I would class this as fine dining at its best and all I can say if this is the main dining quality then I wonder what the speciality restaurants would be like.
Breakfast was taken in the Local which is open pretty much 24/7 limited amount of choice but if you didn’t want to go to the buffet this was a good option. Served very quickly and a freshly made breakfast with good service. For lunch again many options, we decided to go to the American diner where a small cover charge is applied to each dish. Again great service very fresh and lots of it, as you would expect, burgers, hotdogs, milkshakes, soda, cheesecake, smores and lots more to choose from. The Buffet had a huge choice of dishes and all looked mouth – watering and very inviting even after just eating in the American Diner!!
On to the evening’s entertainment, Kinky Boots!!!! WOW what an amazing full on West End show so be prepared to stock up on your drinks and sit back and enjoy 1hr 45 minutes of excellent, fun and enjoyable entertainment.
I also manged to catch the Choir of Man show the previous evening again was also Fun with lots of audience participation and laughs.
Along with the Galaxy Pavillion, the go-karts with a 2 level race track ,laser tag, Kids clubs and splash areas there is something for everyone from little ones, kids, big kids and even bigger kids (adults) on board NCL Encore. I loved my experience on board it just wasn’t long enough but I hope to be back on board soon.”
