Havana Highlights

A trip to Havana is like stepping back in time to the 1950s, and visitors can journey back to the past with a ride in a classic American car. Today there are more than 60,000 classic American cars in Cuba, many with their original parts.

Old Havana – Habana Vieja – the original walled heart of the city, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982. It is home to prominent and important buildings including Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, the former official governor’s residence and Havana Cathedral.

No visit to Havana would be complete without experiencing the world-famous Tropicana show. Also known as the Paradise under the Stars, Cuba’s oldest and most famous cabaret opened in the 1930s and was considered the place to be. Enjoy a visit to the spectacular show, and witness over 200 singers and dancers bring Cuban music to life.

Santiago Highlights

Nestling in the Sierra Maestra Mountains, Santiago is Cuba’s second largest city and heralded for its cultural and artistic influence. The birthplace of many well-known Cuban musicians, artists and poets, the city is home to various galleries, museums and monuments, each celebrating the country’s prominent cultural background.

Santiago de Cuba is a passionate, noisy delight beauty with a unique identity steeped in Afro-Caribbean history – the drum-beating July Carnaval is testament to this. The city’s architecture stretches across many different periods from Baroque to Neoclassical, and the style varies noticeably from one alley way to the next. The steeped streets with their colonial buildings, beautiful parks and impressive cathedrals just beg to be explored.
