Cunard will visit Alaska for the first time in 20 years!

In 2019, Queen Elizabeth will visit Alaska for the first time ever, as she sails from Tokyo to Vancouver, calling at Kodiak, Anchorage and the capital city Juneau.

Queen Elizabeth will operate a short programme of four Alaska round trip voyages in May and June 2019, departing from and returning to Vancouver. Each voyage will be for a duration of 10 nights and will feature a selection of the region’s highlight ports, as well as stunning scenic cruising in the narrow waterways of the famous Inside Passage.

This will be the first time that a Cunard ship has visited America’s “Last Frontier” since Cunard Dynasty travelled there in 1997. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Cunard are sending the very popular Queen Elizabeth, a fan favourite ship from their very luxurious fleet.

Alaska is one of the world’s must-see destinations and visiting by cruise ship is one of the best ways to enjoy it. It is often considered “bucket list” experience due to the outstanding natural beauty of the region and the fact that many of the destinations are not easily accessible by land. What better way to cruise than the 5* luxury of Cunard Cruises.

Queen Elizabeth will operate four round trip Alaska voyages between 21st May and 30th June 2019. Each of the four voyages will offer six fascinating destinations along the Northwest Pacific coast of Alaska and British Colombia, as well as scenic cruising in the Inside Passage and Hubbard Glacier.

Cunard’s Vice-President of Marketing, Angus Struthers, said: “We’re thrilled to make our return to Alaska, one of the world’s must-see destinations.”

“As the majestic Queen Elizabeth undertakes her first season there, our guests can explore the region with highlights including the natural wonders of Tracy Arm Fjord and the Hubbard Glacier.”

If you book any of the Alaska itineraries by March 5th 2018 you will receive complimentary onboard spending money. Cunard World Club Members will receive an additional 5% early booking saving off the fares shown, as well as additional onboard spending money.
