Crystal River Cruises Receives Crystal Bach

Crystal River Cruises have welcomed Crystal Bach to its award-winning fleet, after its delivery from MV Werften during the official handover ceremony in Wismar, Germany.

The ship, which consists of all-suite staterooms will sail Rhine and Moselle River itineraries between Amsterdam and Frankfurt as well as Amsterdam and Basel.

Present at the ceremony were local dignitaries as well as Crystal’s CEO and President, Ellie Rodriguez, who commented: “It is a thrill to welcome Crystal Bach to the family, as she is one of the most anticipated vessels to embark on Europe’s rivers in years.”

She continued: “Her design, abundant space and standard of amenities and luxury are groundbreaking in and of themselves, then, combined with the acclaimed Crystal brand of service and attention to detail, create an unprecedented experience in the river cruising industry.”

Crystal Bach is the first in what will be a series of four “Rhine Class” ships, the second of which, Crystal Mahler, will be delivered to the line in September. These ships are in addition to Crystal Mozart which was a refurbished ship, which was launched last summer.

Crystal River Cruises was voted “Best River Cruise Line” by the readers of Travel + Leisure in the magazine’s 2017 World’s Best Awards, and the cruise line has redefined the way the world views luxury travel, something which can certainly be seen with the line’s ‘Rhine Class’.

They are the first in river cruising to feature all-balcony, all-suite vessels in Europe, with every accommodation category perched above the waterline. Each of the four ships will offer Crystal’s butler service, king size beds, panoramic balcony-windows, walk-in closets and dual vanity in the bathrooms in most categories.
