Naples is a large, sprawling Mediterranean port, with a centre that has many different focuses just waiting to be discovered on an MSC Mediterranean cruise excursion. But it’s the city’s most intriguing quarter, and a must-see on any cruise to Naples. The Duomo is a Gothic building from the early thirteenth century (though with a late nineteenth-century neo-Gothic facade) dedicated to the patron saint of the city, San Gennaro. One of Campania’s most important Roman commercial centres – a moneyed resort for wealthy patricians and a trading town that exported wine and fish – the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 in effect froze the town’s way of life as it stood at the time. Trips can also be taken to the island of Capri, place of legend, home to the mythical Sirens and a much-eulogized playground of the super-rich in the years since – though now it has settled down to a lucrative existence as a target for day-trippers from the mainland. Definitely worth a visit, but these days the origins of much of the purple prose may be hard to find.

Just offshore on Pigeon Island is a walled Byzantine castle that once guarded the town, connected to the mainland via causeway.
Marmaris is a port city and a tourist destination on the Mediterranean coast, located in southwest Turkey, in the Mugla Province. Although it is not certain when Marmaris was founded, in the 6th century BC the city was known as Physkos, and considered part of Caria. According to the historian Herodtus, there was a castle in Marmaris since 3000 BC. Marmaris main source of income is tourism. While little is left of the sleepy fishing village that Marmaris was just a few decades ago after a construction boom in the 1980s, Marmaris still retains its charm due to the exceptional natural beauty of its location. It is also a major centre for sailing, possessing two major and several smaller marinas. It is a popular wintering location for hundreds of cruising boaters. There are regular ferry services to the Greek island of Rhodes, and large cruise ships call at the port.

An on board photo service is available throughout your cruise. Professional photographers will capture the highlights of your cruise and its special moments. Our photographers can also create portraits of you and your family or friends using a variety of high quality studio backgrounds or key locations throughout the ship.
Any guest with a condition that may affect fitness to travel, or any other special need, is asked to provide full details by filling in the appropriate form at the time of booking, and may be asked to submit a doctor’s certificate. The Company can refuse the booking or the carriage of any guest who is deemed to be unfit for travel or whose condition may constitute a danger to themselves, the vessel, aircraft and/ or other Guest on the grounds of safety.
Any specific transport and/on lodging and/or assistance needs must be communicated at the time the reservation.
Our guests who are pregnant and have exceeded their 24th week are also not invited to sail. This is due to the lack of medical equipment needed to accommodate their needs.
We offer accessible cabins for all our guests. We also have wheelchair availability, hearing and visual aids. Guests with hearing impairments can opt for TDD systems kits to be in their cabins. Guests with visual impairments are advised to travel with a Carer – we also allow healthy and travel-safe guide dogs on board.
We ask our guests with specific requirements to inform travel agents before booking so we can prepare accommodations.
Most special diets can be catered for on board if requested when booking your cruise. Kosher meals (pre-packaged) and Halal products (beef, lamb and poultry) are available if requested at least two months before departure.
