Azamara Reveals New Ship Details

Azamara Club Cruises has revealed details of a refit as well as the first cruises for the latest addition to its fleet, Azamara Pursuit.

Azamara Pursuit, which will be a sister ship to Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest is sailing as Adonia for P&O Cruises at present, however in spring 2018 she will head to the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, for a period of wet dock.

Azamara Pursuit, which will be able to carry up to 690 passengers will receive a complete overhaul by outfitting specialist MJM Group, and once complete she will be almost identical to her two sister ships.

The ship will be officially named on a christening sailing on August 28th to 30th, which will come after Azamara Pursuit’s maiden voyage on August 1st, sailing to Norway, which will features overnights in both Oslo and Bergen.

Azamara Pursuit will also undertake a 13-night cruise to Spain and Portugal after her christening, which will also depart from Southampton. The news that all of these sailings will depart from Southampton will be music to the ears to Azamara cruisers who wish to depart from the UK.

Azamara Club Cruises CEO Larry Pimentel said: “We’re delighted to announce that the Azamara Pursuit’s first several voyages will depart from one of our largest growth markets.”
