Top Tips For Parents With Travelling Toddlers

We know that you’re probably a pro at the whole parenting thing – but holidays are a time for everyone to relax and have fun. Sometimes when travelling for the first time, toddlers can get a bit fussy. So if your children are living the jet setting life of travelling toddlers, take a look below for some top tips to help out along the way.

Use the kids clubs

If you’re travelling with one child, sometimes you want to relax and all they want to do is have fun. Onboard kid’s clubs are perfect for the times when you just want to lie in the sun with a cocktail in your hand. Kid’s clubs give your children the opportunity to make new friends and build their social skills – meeting others of the same age can help children settle in onboard as they become familiar with the new space and new people.

Make use of your cabin

We all know that there are countless activities and things to do onboard, but because ships can be so big they can get tiring for little ones. So make use of your cabin! Some might think its just a place to get some rest, but if the kid’s are tired from exploring, they can always lay in bed and watch a film for a few hours to wind down before going for dinner.

If they are still too tired to leave the cabin, cabin services are available onboard some ships where dinner can be delivered to your door. On certain ships, babysitting services are available if you want to go and enjoy dinner in the restaurant without worrying about the kids.

Take advantage of free activities

Onboard a ship, pretty much everything is included in the original cost – except for those added extras. Activities are one of the many things that come free onboard – with things going on every hour of every day, the kids will never be bored!

Ask staff for help

If you’ve never been cruising before, you may be thinking about how the kids are going to be kept entertained. All cruise ships are designed with every passengers comfort and enjoyment in mind, so if you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to contact a member of staff for help.
