Silversea Joins With London’s Royal Philharmonic For New Show
London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has joined forces with luxury cruise line Silversea to create a new productions show, which is set to debut onboard the line’s ships this November.
The brand-new signature production will be called ‘Grande Amore’ and is themed around the world of opera, celebrating love and beauty with traditional opera, classical crossover and popular sections paying tribute to Silversea’s Italian roots.
Featuring tracks recorded exclusively for Silversea by London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the songs will be performed by the Voice of Silversea ensemble, many of which have performed throughout opera houses in Europe as well as shows in London’s West End and Broadway.
The music will be coupled with elegant contemporary costumes, dramatic visual effects as well as vibrant neoclassical set design, which will recall ancient Rome.
Roberto Martinoli, Silversea’s CEO, said: “This new signature show is an inspired and passionate tribute to our company’s Italian heritage, and we are honored to once again have the collaboration of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to ensure an experience that will be emotionally uplifting and memorable for our guests.”
