our guests for this limited series of UK cruises, these sailings on Regal and Sky Princess will be for UK resident Covid-19
vaccinated guests only. For these cruises the definition of “vaccinated” is a minimum of seven days following the second dose of the currently approved Covid-19 vaccines being administered. Proof of vaccination and the dates given will be required (approved forms of evidence will be confirmed closer to time of departure)
and this will be required to be shown at the terminal prior to boarding. Failure to provide this evidence will result in denial of
boarding. There is no age restriction on this series of UK coastal cruises but all guests of all ages must meet the requirements of the Covid-19 vaccination policy.

If you are unlikely to meet the vaccine policy at time of departure, please refer to the Cruise with Confidence booking options.
  • Q: How will you check that I have received the vaccine at the time of booking?
  • A: It is your responsibility to ensure you comply with the current vaccination policy, proof of vaccination and the dates given will be required (approved forms of evidence will be confirmed closer to the time of departure) and this will be required to be shown at the terminal prior to boarding.
Failure to provide this evidence will result in denial of boarding.
  • Q: If I am denied boarding at the terminal, as I have failed to produce my proof of vaccine – will you reimburse my out of pocket expenses to that point and the cost of my travel home?
  • A: There will be a Princess Cruises representative on hand at the terminal to support any guests who are denied boarding. However for any costs incurred guests will need to contact their travel insurance provider as these will be at their own expense.
  • Q: What if I am exempt from receiving the vaccine?

  • A: Guests of all ages must meet the requirements of the Covid-19 vaccination policy.
  • Q: Will crew be vaccinated?
  • A: Crew will undergo a strict testing and quarantine regime as well as regular testing during their time on board. Our protocols
are subject to change, as we will continue to work with our experts and with government bodies to ensure all of our practices evolve in line with latest advice, with our primary
focus always being to protect the health and wellbeing of our crew and guests and the communities we visit.

Health Protocols

  • Q: What are your enhanced health protocols?
  • A: All guests and crew will be required to follow enhanced health and wellbeing measures to protect everyone on board on these cruises. These have been developed with guidance from our global medical and public health experts and scientists, and in close coordination with UK Government agencies. In line with our requirement that crew wear face masks on board, guests will also be required to wear a face mask in
certain public areas of the ship. Enhanced sanitisation measures and social distancing will also be in place. Crew will undergo a strict testing and quarantine regime as
well as regular testing during their time on board. These protocols are subject to change, as we will continue to work
with our experts and with government bodies to align all of our policies with latest advice, with our primary focus always being
to protect the health and wellbeing of our crew and guests and the communities we visit.
  • Q: Will Covid tests be required for the Summer Seacation cruises?
  • A: As the vaccine roll out progresses and the Government has announced its intended roadmap for the future, the guidance is continually evolving. Pre-embarkation Covid tests may be required as part of our framework of protocols and will be complimentary in the price of the holiday. We will update our Health advisory page as necessary and update all guests prior to their holiday departure date.
  • Q: What steps will you take to require everyone to follow the protocols onboard?
  • A: The protocols on board will be clearly set out, easy to follow and are for the protection of all guests and crew, made even easier with Ocean Medallion. This leading-edge technology significantly enhances the guest experience whilst also
supporting enhanced health protocols, with new features such as streamlined check-in, simplified safety training, reductions in
queuing and the ability to order food and drink to anywhere on the ship.
Our protocols have been developed with guidance from our global medical and public health experts and scientists and in
close coordination with UK government agencies. If guests do not comply with these protocols they may be disembarked.
  • Q: I have had my vaccine but I am exempt from wearing a face mask – can I still travel?
  • A: In line with our requirement that crew wear face masks on board, guests will also be required to wear a face mask in certain public areas of the ship. Enhanced sanitisation measures and social distancing will also be in place. Any guests who fall outside of these policies are able to use
    our Cruise with Confidence policy.
  • Q: Do we have to social distance?
  • A: Everyone on board will need to adhere to the most up-to-date guidance regarding the use of face-coverings and social distancing.
We are working with and subject to the UK Government guidance. We will closely monitor all guidance and will adapt
    and evolve accordingly.
  • Q: When will these protocols be in place until?
  • A: Health protocols will be in place until government guidance changes and we will adapt and evolve accordingly.
  • Q: Will you be operating at full capacity?
  • A: We will initially be reducing the number of guests on our UK summer seacation cruises following our pause in operations to
enable a smooth return to service.

Travel Insurance

  • Q: As the new cruises are UK seacations do I need travel insurance?
  • A: As part of terms and conditions it is mandatory for all UK guests to have suitable travel insurance cover in order to
cruise with us. Travel insurance enables your guests to relax and enjoy their holiday with peace of mind that they are covered for most eventualities. This includes unforeseen incidents before their holiday, while travelling or while they are away. Typically, travel insurance covers cancellation of your holiday, stolen belongings and medical treatment. Insurance documents will be checked at the
terminal and boarding will be denied, at guests’ own expense, for anyone without appropriate cover. We have partnered with Holiday Extras to offer cruise-specific
cover for our holidays. When travelling with us, insurance must include medical and repatriation cover of £2 million minimum
that includes cover for emergency evacuations and medical expenses related to Covid-19.
  • Q: I’ve got travel insurance already, do I need cruise insurance?
  • A: Your guests will need to look into the level of cover their travel insurance provides. Some bank accounts include travel insurance but the policies often offer limited amounts of cover. Standard travel insurance is generally meant for a land-based holiday and as such, won’t cover many of the elements of a cruise holiday.
A cruise holiday requires more specialist cover, for example if there was a need to be medically evacuated at sea. The most
important thing is to make sure your guests have told their insurer they are going on a cruise holiday
  • Q: What happens if I don’t declare pre-existing medical conditions?
  • A: Guests run the risk of not being fully covered and having to pay for medical treatment which can be extremely costly.
Emergency medical treatment can even be refused if they do not have the correct insurance, this includes failing to declare
    pre-existing conditions.
  • Q: I cannot get travel insurance/I wish to self-insure, can I still travel with you?
  • A: As part of our health and wellbeing protocols it is mandatory for all UK guests to have suitable travel insurance cover in order to cruise with us. Travel insurance enables your guests to relax and enjoy their holiday with peace of mind that they are
    covered for most eventualities.

Onboard Experience

  • Q: Do I need to book my dining daily?
  • A: Our Ocean Medallion technology will assist guests with pre booking dining arrangements and allows complete flexibility.
  • Q: How will dining/restaurants be different?
  • A: We are adapting our restaurants and bars to enable guests to enjoy their experience and maintain social distancing in line with the guidance. In our buffets, our team mates will serve guests and line
monitors will also manage guest flow and social distancing. Only guests in the same travel party will be allowed to dine at the same table. We won’t have seating at bar counters, and operating hours will be adjusted, if needed, to allow for reduced capacity at any given time or venue.
Guests can also use OceanNow in the MedallionClass app to order food, drinks and other items to be delivered anywhere they are on board, which allows more freedom in terms of where they drink and dine.
  • Q: How and when can I book dining, onboard activities, spa & entertainment?
  • A: Dining, spa, salon, and activities on board will be subject to the latest guidance to minimise contact and reduce the number of guests in each area.
  • Q: How will booking priority be determined for dining, entertainment and activities?
  • A: All of these may be bookable and via the Ocean MedallionClass app
  • Q: Will all the restaurants be open?
  • A: All dining venues will be open including the specialty restaurants, where guests can dine at Princess favourites Crown Grill and Sabatini’s, as well as newer additions to the
fleet such as Sky Princess’ Bistro Sur La Mer specialty created with 3 Michelin star chef Emmanuel Renaut which will be bookable via the MedallionClass app.
  • Q: Will bar service be available?
  • A: Our bars will be open. With OceanNow, guests also have the option of ordering food and drinks via the MedallionClass app and they will delivered wherever they are onboard, which allows more freedom in terms of where they drink and dine.
  • Q: Will the children’s clubs still operate and if so what differences can we expect? For example lower capacities/social distancing
  • A: Children’s Clubs will be open, but with protocols in place, including enhanced cleaning. We’ll be adhering to the latest
government advice at the time of sailing.
  • Q: Will entertainment be as normal?
  • A: From theatre shows to live bands, guests will find the show will go on! Our performances will be adapted so that artistes and audience adhere to the latest guidance. In order to comply with current government regulations and CLIA policy, we anticipate that entertainment events will be staggered and operate at reduced capacity.
  • Q: Will everything be open as normal? Will any areas of the ship / facilities be closed?
  • A: Similar to a land based holiday certain activities or areas of the ship that would make social distancing difficult may not be in operation when we return to sailing. However we will follow local guidance and will keep all guests aware of any potential
restrictions in line with local guidance before they sail.
  • Q: Will the swimming pools be in use?
  • A: Yes the pools will be in use but will be subject to limited numbers of swimmers (will vary according to ship/pool size)
and we request that guests maintain social distancing in and around the pool where possible.
  • Q: Will the casino be open?
  • A: The casino will be open to guests. The number of guests in the casino at any one time will be in line with government
guidelines at the time of sailing. Additionally with OceanCasino, guests can still play casino games such as slots and bingo wherever they like including the
    comfort of your stateroom
  • Q: Will I be able to get duty free?
  • A: The shops will be open to guests and in line with government guidelines at the time of sailing. Any purchases during our UK Summer seacation cruises will be subject to UK tax. Guests always have the option of ordering items through OceanNow in the MedallionClass app for delivery wherever they are on board.
  • Q: Will the Spa & Gym be available?
  • A: Yes with some modifications in line with local government guidance. Guests will be asked to pre book via the MedallionClass app.
  • Q: Will you be operating at full capacity?
  • A: We will initially be reducing the number of guests on our first cruises following the pause in operations to better enable a smooth return to sailing.

Shore Excursions

  • Q: Will I be able to go ashore independently?
  • A: Guests travelling on the selection of summer seacation voyages that include ports of calls will only be able to go ashore through shore excursions sold by or through Princess using tour operators who comply with our COVID-19 controls, in line with local guidance. This decision has been made in the interest of health and safety of our guests and crew, and the places we visit. Guests wishing to go ashore independently will not be permitted to do so.
  • Q: Do we have to social distance?
  • A: Everyone on board will need to adhere to the most up-to-date guidance regarding the use of face-coverings and social distancing.
We are working with and subject to the UK Government guidance. We will closely monitor all guidance and will adapt and evolve accordingly.
