A world away is closer than you think, Summer at Sea.

Cunard returns this summer with a collection of thirteen new itineraries on board Queen Elizabeth, exclusively for UK guests.

Sailing from July through to October, these voyages will range from three to twelve nights and will sail to and from Southampton. You can absorb the beauty of Britain’s ever-changing coastline with scenic sailings, explore sparkling cities on the UK shores, or embark on the perfect summertime journey, spending seven nights at sea, sailing wherever the sun shines brightest.

FAQs

  • Q: My customer’s summer voyage was cancelled, will they have priority booking on these new voyages?
  • A: There is no priority booking on these new voyages. The voyages will all be available to book on 31 March 2021.
  • Q: Are children able to travel on these new voyages?
  • A: There are no age restrictions for Queen Elizabeth’s Summer at Sea voyages, however the vaccine policy is applicable to guests of all ages.
  • Q: As these voyages are in UK waters, does my customer need a passport to travel?
  • A: Yes, a passport is needed to travel on these new voyages.
  • Q: Can my customer book two Queen Elizabeth voyages back to back?
  • A: Back to back bookings will not be available on Queen Elizabeth’s new voyages.
  • Q: As the new voyages are UK staycations does my customer need travel insurance?
  • A: As part of our health and wellbeing protocols it is mandatory for all UK guests to have suitable travel insurance cover in order to sail with us.
  • Q: When Queen Elizabeth is calling at UK ports, can guests get off the ship?
  • A: Yes guests can get off the ship on one of our Cunard organised shore experiences, available to book prior to departure via My Cunard.
  • Q: My customer is a top tier guest why have they not been given priority to book   based on their benefits?
  • A: This is a one-off series of UK Summer at Sea voyages, which are not included in the brochure.

 

Vaccinations

  • Q: Why have you issued the vaccination guidance?
  • A: Given the advanced progress of the UK vaccination programme, and strong expressed preference on the part of our guests for this limited series of UK Summer at Sea voyages, these sailings on Queen Elizabeth will be for UK resident Covid-19 vaccinated guests only.
  • Q: What does this mean if my customer has already booked a holiday but haven’t yet had the vaccine?
  • A: Any bookings for our new UK Summer at Sea voyages on Queen Elizabeth will be for UK resident Covid-19 vaccinated guests only. If your customer is unlikely to meet the vaccine policy at time of departure, please refer to our flexible booking options. All other Cunard holidays on sale do not currently require guests to be vaccinated (all voyages departing on Queen Elizabeth on or after   2 October, departing on Queen Mary 2 on or after 13 November and departing on Queen Victoria on or after 28 August).
  • Q: Will my customer need to have both doses of the vaccine before they can travel, or can they travel having received the first dose only?
  • A: For these voyages the definition of “vaccinated” is a minimum of seven days following the second dose of the currently approved Covid-19 vaccines being administered, so yes, your customer will need to be vaccinated with both doses in order to sail on these voyages.Proof of vaccination and the dates given will be required to be shown at the terminal prior to boarding (approved forms of evidence will be confirmed closer to time of departure).
  • Q: How will you check that my customer has received the vaccine at the time of booking?
  • A: Proof of vaccination and the dates the vaccines was received will be required at the terminal prior to boarding (approved forms of evidence will be confirmed closer to time of departure).
    Failure to provide this evidence will result in denial of boarding.
  • Q: Are you likely to introduce vaccines for all other holidays on sale?
  • A: All   other Cunard holidays currently on sale do not currently require guests to be vaccinated.
  • Q: If my customer is denied boarding at the terminal, as they have failed to produce their proof of  vaccine, will you reimburse their out of pocket expenses to that point and the cost of their travel home?
  • A: There will be a Cunard representative on hand at the terminal to support any guests who are denied boarding, however for any costs incurred your customer will need to contact their travel insurance provider as these will be at their own expense.
  • Q: What if my customer is exempt from receiving the vaccine?
  • A: The sailings on Queen Elizabeth will be for UK resident, Covid-19 vaccinated, guests only.
  • Q: Will my customer still be able to travel if they choose not to have the vaccine?
  • A: The sailings on Queen Elizabeth will be for UK resident, Covid-19 vaccinated, guests only. All other Cunard holidays on sale do not currently require guests to be vaccinated (all voyages departing on Queen Elizabeth on or after 2 October, departing on Queen Mary 2 on or after 13 November and departing on Queen Victoria on or after 28 August).
  • Q: Will crew be vaccinated?
  • A: Crew will undergo a strict testing and quarantine regime as well as regular testing during their time on board. Our protocols are subject to change, as we will continue to work with our experts and with government bodies to ensure all of our practices evolve in line with latest advice, with our primary focus always being to protect the health and well-being of our crew, guests and the communities we visit.
  • Q: Will Covid-19 tests be required for Queen Elizabeth’s UK voyages and future voyages?
  • A: As the vaccine roll out progresses and the government has announced its intended roadmap for the future, the guidance is continually evolving. Pre-embarkation Covid-19 tests may be required as part of our framework of protocols and will be complimentary in the price of the holiday if so. We   will update our Sailing with Confidence page as necessary and update all guests prior to their holiday departure date. Guests should ensure their preferences and details are up to date in their My Cunard account.
  • Q: Will you be operating at full capacity?
  • A: We will  initially be reducing the number of guests on our UK Summer at Sea voyages to allow for social distancing and to enable a smooth return to service.
