The sheer scope of the ship can take the breath away. She is more reminiscent of a floating city: spread over 14 passenger decks, and catering for more than 3,500 guests, it can be easy to forget that she is, ultimately, a ship. Her size is reflected by her onboard amenities: guests will find five restaurants waiting for them, alongside two self-service buffets, and 21 bars. Entertainment is an equally important part of life on the ship, as she houses four swimming pools, dedicated children’s areas, and even a F1 simulator. Younger passengers and families will no doubt find themselves right at home aboard.

There are a variety of restaurants available onboard, including two main dining rooms, a self-service buffet, and a number of casual snack or lunch options. Two traditional sittings, flexible and casual dining options are all available.

The Golden Lobster

The Golden Lobster restaurant is the ship’s main dining room split over two levels on decks 5 and 6 with seating for 626 and 529 guests respectively.

With open seating for waiter served breakfast (from 7am to 10am) and lunch (12 to 2.00pm), dinner is served over two seatings with 1st seating around 7.15pm and 2nd at 9.45pm and features assigned seating. This means that guests are allocated a set dining time at a specific table in one of the two MDR’s for the duration of the cruise.

Serving a range of Italian and international cuisine, the evening menu offers a seven course continental style menu.

An example of the dishes served is as follows:-

  • Salad of the Day (e.g. Greek Salad)
  • Soup (such as Oxtail consommé or shellfish bisque)
  • Pasta or Risotto (spinach and Ricotta ravioli or truffle scented pumpkin risotto)

Eataly

The Eataly Steakhouse serves modern and traditional Italian food. The Eataly on the MSC Preziosa is fashioned after the famed restaurant in Eataly’s Manhattan location. Those who want to take a piece of Italy home can purchase authentic Italian and artisan products, including olive oils, dried pastas, regional sweets and aged balsamics in the adjacent boutique marketplace. 

Self Service Buffet Restaurants

The ship’s self service complimentary buffet spans almost half the length of deck 14. It seats 412 guests in the Inca section and 404 guests in the Maya area, and is open non-stop for 20 hours each day from 6am to 2am with tea, coffee and tap water available 24 hours.

Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10.00am, lunch from 12.00 to 3.30pm, afternoon snacks or casual late lunch from 3.30pm to 6pm and dinner from 7pm to 10.00pm followed by snacks until 2.00am.

A selection of both cold and cooked breakfast options area available whilst lunch and dinner offers dishes including salads, cooked meats, pasta and desserts along with a daily special and an Ethnic Corner serving a selection of curries from vegetable to lamb madras.

A pizzeria (open from 12.00 to 6.00pm) and grill (open from 12.00 to midnight) also forms part of the Inca section.

Sports Bar

The 87 seater Sports Bar serves à la carte snacks and is open from 3pm to 12am.

Located on deck 7 with large TV screens airing sporting events and its own two lane ten pin bowling area, menu examples include Steamed shrimp cocktail, Fish & Chips, Buffalo Chicken Wings, and salad.

Other items on offer range from Italian flat bread with Parma ham and mozzarella, Italian bread filled with sausage, mushrooms and cheese to prawn curry, French baguette with ham, cheese, egg and salad, mini hamburgers, Spanish, German, Turkish and Chinese dishes.

Phoenician Plaza Ice Cream Bar

Seating 80 guests and located on deck 6 of the ship, is designed to reflect an Italian Square with live music, a pastry and chocolate shop and ice cream parlour.

Coffee ranges from around €1.10 for an espresso €1.90 for a Cappuccino or espresso with chocolate cream and ice to €5.70 for an Irish Coffee and €6.70 for an iced coffee alcoholic coffee.

Hot Chocolate costs around €1.90 and tea (ranging from Darjeeling to camomile) is charged at €1.80.

Pastries cost from around €1.50 for small tartelettes, €0.80 for chocolate éclairs and €1.00 for chocolate mousse to €2.90 for a slice of fruitcake or cheesecake and €3.90 for sponge cakes such as Choco Light Bomb and Raspberry Mousse Cake.

Traditional Gelato Ice Cream is €1.20 per scoop, €2.50 per cone, $3.90 for a smoothie and €5.30 for a banana split or Vanilla and Strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries.

Ice cream flavours range from chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut and pistachio to coffee, strawberry, mango, lemon, banana, melon, peach and raspberry.

L’Arabesque

L’Arabesque is Preziosa’s other Main Dining Room offering panoramic views and located on deck 6 with seating for 766 passengers.

An intimate, 30-seat venue adjacent to Eataly only open for dinner. This specialty restaurant features a different menu each night that was created by the Eataly chefs.

Nutella Corner and Happy Puppy Ice Crystal Drink Stand

Nutella Corner is located near the Aqua Park pool on deck 14, and serves chocolate crêpes and the Happy Puppy Ice crystal drink stand where children can purchase ice slush drinks in a variety of flavours and colours.

La Locanda

La Locanda is Preziosa’s Pizzeria Wine bar, seating 105 guests and located on deck 7 of the ship just outside the Italian Eataly and Ristorante Italia restaurants.

The casual dining option serves traditional fresh stone baked pizza along with complimentary tapas and hors d’oeuvres to enjoy with a selection of wine either by the glass or bottle, cocktails, beer and cider.

The menu includes a 1m long pizza for guests to enjoy along with a metre long strip of wood containing the equivalent of 10 glasses of beer to quench their thirst.

Galaxy Lounge

Based on the style of 1950s supper clubs, the à la carte Galaxy Lounge on deck 16 offer panoramic views and background music along side lazy brunch or the Mediterranean fusion cuisine dinner menu before transforming into the ship’s disco spot at night.

Platinum Theatre

The 1,600 seat Theatre Lounge found onboard offers at least 6 different shows, and spans two decks. The seats are tiered, allowing guests to enjoy some of the most varied shows found at sea with the best view possible.

Main production shows are shown at 8.00pm for guests on 1st dinner seating and 10.15pm for those on 2nd dinner seating.

Two decks high and located on decks 6 and 7, it features Broadway style shows, illusionists, dancing on ice shows and circus extravaganzas.

During the day it also hosts bingo games and conferences

Sports Bar

The name says it all; onboard passengers are unlikely to find a better place to relax and catch a game. There's a wide variety of sport shown here, from football to cricket, basketball to ice hockey, something to suit all tastes. Passengers will find a variety of alcoholic and soft drink awaiting, all of which are complimented by a sports-inspired menu, serving up dishes from all around the world.

The Sports Lounge on deck 7 is a multi-screen themed sports bar with seating for 87 passengers.

Featuring a customised drinks menu and snacks, it is also home to the two lane bowling alley which attracts a charge of €6 per game.

Millennium Star Casino

The Casino, seating 323 features Roulette, poker, blackjack, and slot machines. It is served by its own bar.

Green Sax Jazz Bar

The Green Sax Jazz Bar has seating for 106 visitors and features live jazz music along with a special range of 'made to measure' drinks.

Diamond Bar & Library

The Diamond Bar overlooks the central atrium and is located on deck 6 serving the foyer area. It can seat up to 98 guests who can enjoy the musical entertainment from the bottom of the atrium.

The ideal place to settle down for a relaxing read from the extensive range of books, available in multiple languages, from the library and reading area which is incorporated into the bar area itself. A selection of board games can also be found in the library for guests' use.

Preziosa Bar

The Bar is on deck 5 by the central atrium with 28 seats.

Guests can enjoy a drink here whilst listening to classical piano music, string quartets and singers.

El Dorado Piano Bar

The ship's Piano and Martini Bar, seats 108 and is located on deck 7.

The Pool Bars

The Pool bars are located by the Pool on deck 14.

Il Cappuccino Coffee Bar

The ship's coffee shop serves a selection of cakes and desserts.

It is located on deck 7 with room for 58 passengers.

Sweet Shop

La Caramella, on deck 6, is the ship's candy and confectionary shop, featuring a large variety of pic ‘n’ mix sweets along with a small selection of toys all at duty free prices.

Boutiques

The ship boasts a variety of shops and boutiques. 

From the MSC Logo shop that sells MSC clothes, souvenirs and toys, La Profumeria selling a range of cosmetics and perfumes including Dior and Marc Jacobs.

La Boutique, on deck 6 sells men's, women's and children's fashion with brands including Polo, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste and Armani, and the L'Angolo Dell'Oggetto sells sunglasses, watches and fashion jewellery on deck 6 also.

The Duty Free Shop sells a range of tobaccos, liquors and snacks and is located on deck 6.

Photo Shop

The Photo Shop is located on deck 7. Photos captured by the ship's professional photographers both on board and ashore can be viewed in the adjoining Photo Gallery area and purchased in the photo shop.

Cyber Cafe

Guests can access the internet and their emails either using their own portable wireless devices or via the ship's Cybercafe on deck 5 opposite the Bar, where guests can use the 15 stations to access the internet. Charges are 15 cents per minute or if preferred a package of minutes may be purchased.

Art Gallery

The Art Gallery features a selection of artwork from fine prints, lithographs, water colours and oils which can be purchased during the ship's champagne art auctions.

It is located outside the Sports Bar and Jazz Bar on deck 7.

4D Cinema

Fantasia’s 4D ten seat cinema, with 3D graphics and moving seats to enhance guests' experience, is located on deck 16 aft and costs around €7.90 per viewing.

F1 Simulator

The Formula One Simulator on deck 16 offers guests the chance to experience racing a Formula one car around a variety of tracks.

It costs around €9.90 per ride and children must be 3'6" or taller to use it.

La Locanda

Serving a wide selection of wines by the glass or bottle along with cocktails, 22 different varieties of bottled and draught beer and cider with complimentary hors d’ouevres is La Locanda. The bar can be found on deck 7 of the ship with seating for 105 guests and offers the ideal place to start or end an evening.

Galaxy Lounge

Galaxy Lounge on deck 16 is the ship's nightclub served by its own bar with a themed cocktail menu for guests to sample in-between dancing.

Safari Lounge

The Safari lounge on deck 7 seats 295 guests and is the ship's show lounge with its own bar and dance floor. Entertainment on offer ranges from bingo to international dance music.

MSC Yacht Club

The Fantasia class MSC ships feature a "ship-within-a-ship" area called the MSC Yacht Club. This private club area is forward on decks 15, 16, and 18.

An exclusive haven of refinement- a place where you can savour exclusivity and privacy in a world of choice. Where you can indulge in the luxury of a private club, while enjoying access to the myriad recreation and entertainment possibilities that the rest of the ship affords.

Gym

The fully-equipped onboard gyms comes with stunning views as standard, courtesy of the panoramic windows., within the Spa. Fitted with the latest state-of-the-art Techno-gym equipment, personal trainers and innovative fitness programmes, the gym provides the perfect opportunity to stay active on a cruising holiday.

The state of the art fitness centre also includes an Adidas corner selling a range of sportswear and accessories for guests to purchase.

MSC Aurea Spa

The 1700 square metre MSC Aurea Spa on deck 14 with stunning sea views offers several innovative features unique to Preziosa including a range of signature treatments inspired by precious minerals.

It also features a healing Himalayan salt crystal bed for deep relaxation and detox and Himalayan Dream Pure Body Treatment, a water bed providing a full body hydrating thalassotherapy treatment with seaweed and mineral salts and a Shu Uemura Art of Haircabin which has 6 hair rituals for guests to choose from.

Additionally the spa has a barbershop complete with vintage barber’s chair offering a host of treatments, 20 different kinds of massage, 19 body treatments, 19 facial, 4 couples massages in the Harmony suite and a nail cabin. Treatments on offer range from anti-ageing facials and purifying facials to salt clay whirlpool baths and protective clay body mask and last from around 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending upon the type of treatment chosen.

The thermal suite within the spa includes a sauna, Turkish bath, frigidarium, tepidarium (a relaxation room with four warming chairs) and a multifunction shower with LED colour therapy that infuses the water and air with revitalising scents.

The Pools and Aqua Park

The outdoor Aqua Park and pool are mid-ship on deck 14. This is the main pool and it includes several different areas, along with two whirlpools. As well as the pool itself, it has tiled splash areas, water jets and fountains along with two whirlpools adjacent to it and a further two overhanging the Aqua Park area from deck 15.

Vertigo is MSC Preziosa’s 120 metre long and 13 metre high water slide with a diameter of 900mm and starting from deck 18 and exiting on deck 15.

Featuring twist and turns and average speeds of 6 metres a second, certain sections of the slide have translucent bands of colour which catch the light producing strobe effects, whilst a nine metre long transparent stretch of the slide overhangs the side of the ship providing those who dare to keep their eyes open with a spectacular view of the sea below. Vertigo is for people over 120cm tall and opening times are dependent upon itinerary and season.

The Aqua Park is served by the outdoor Saphir Bar and Turquoise bar.

Top 18 Solarium

The Top 18 Exclusive Solarium is an adult only sanctuary on deck 18 featuring premium deck space, comfortable cocoons, a whirlpool bath, stunning sea views, a bar menu and complimentary fresh fruit skewers.

Also available are express reflexology and facial relax treatments which can be enjoyed directly from personal sun beds and last up to 20 minutes.

Beauty Salon

Guests wishing to have their hair styled or cut, manicures, pedicures or barber services for male passengers, can visit the ship's beauty parlour on deck 14 within the spa facilities.

Doremi Land & Kids Club

Doremi Land is home to the Mini and Junior Kid's Club and is located midship of deck 15. Designed around the world of pirates with ships, buried treasure and desert islands, the colourfully decorated area is ideal to capture children’s imagination. 

Activities on offer range from Fairy Tale Time and Doremi Live talent show to Do-Remix (a family disco) and Doremi Master Chef where kids can learn how to make cakes and biscuits through hands on experience before sampling some ready made biscuits.

The Kid's Club is available for children aged 3-12, free of charge, and run by qualified entertainment staff who arrange activities from painting to board games and group games.

Whilst the Kid's Club is only available at certain times of the day, a programme of activities is on offer from early morning to early evening to keep children entertained.

With children’s programs available daily from the children’s centre, activities are divided into two categories:

Mini Club, for children from 3 to 6 years

Junior Club, for children from 7 to 12 years

Whilst parents are away from the ship on excursions, the Mini Club remains open. Additionally, for parents ashore or involved in activities on board the ship, the children’s supervisors will also take the youngsters to the buffet or the ship’s restaurant for children’s meals from the dedicated children’s menu.

Teen Disco Graffiti

MSC Teens Disco, located on Deck 15, is the perfect place for teenagers with its urban style design including multi-coloured graffiti, atmospheric lighting, casual couches and scattered stools surrounding dance and karaoke areas, served by vending machines for snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

Virtual Reality Games

An onboard arcade, with a variety of video games and digital options. Open to all children onboard and located on deck 6.

Doremi Castle Aqua Park Adventures (Kids Pool)

The Doremi Castle Aqua Park Adventures on deck 16, is the ship's waterpark for children. With sprays, fountains and other water features including a drenching bucket which slowly fills up before emptying on unsuspecting heads below.

It also includes water cannons to shoot at friends and family and a double and single slide.

For older children, there is the Vertigo waterslide, measuring 120 metres long and 13 metres high, starting from deck 18 and exiting on deck 15. Featuring twist and turns and average speeds of 6 metres a second, certain sections of the slide have translucent bands of colour which catch the light producing strobe effects, whilst a nine metre long transparent stretch of the slide overhangs the side of the ship providing those who dare to keep their eyes open with a spectacular view of the sea below.

Disabled Facilities

Guests with special needs should inform MSC Cruises of their needs, ideally, at the time of booking, or at the very latest, no more than seven days before departure.

Accessible Cabins are available, and should be requested at the time of booking.

All decks, public areas and tenders have been designed to be as accessible as possible for guests with reduced mobility.

Wheelchairs are available onboard to assist with embarkation or disembarkation only in the case of an emergency.

In the interest of safety, guests with hearing impairments must travel with a carer. Passengers with partial hearing disabilities can travel alone, as long as they request the installation of a TDD System kit in their cabin. This kit is available across the whole fleet, but only in limited numbers.

Trained, certified and healthy guide dogs are allowed onboard, assuming that they possess all documentation for entering any and all foreign countries visited during the course of the voyage.

Pregnancy

The medical facilities and equipment onboard may not be adequate enough to deal with a birth or any pregnancy complications. Therefore, for safety reasons, MSC are unable to admit any women onboard who have reached or exceeded their 24th week of pregnancy by the end of the cruise.

Dietary Requirements

Any guests with food intolerances and/or allergies are asked to inform MSC Cruises of their requirements through the Special Needs form (available online). Once onboard, guests must confirm their needs at the Reception, and with the Maitre d'Hôtel.

Dress Code

Casual wear is advised is advised for life onboard and shore excursions. For informal evenings, summery dresses for women and a lightweight jacket for men are recommended. For Gala evenings and Parties, slightly more formal dress is advised. For any formal evenings, cocktail dresses for ladies, and a lightweight suit or dinner jacket for the gentlemen onboard.

MSC Cruises advise bringing a jumper or shawl in your luggage to be prepared for changes in temperature in-between the air conditioned interior of the ship and the deck areas.

For visits to religious sites, appropriate clothing is recommended. This means covering knees, shoulders, and no low-cut tops.
