The largest and most recent addition to the Fred. Olsen fleet, Balmoral offers passengers a classic, relaxing cruise experience. First launched in 1987, this vessel has been extensively refitted and improved as part of Fred. Olsen’s fleet-wide refurbishment programme, refitted in December 2017.
Balmoral provides guests with ample space in which to relax and share a memorable cruise experience with hundreds, not thousands, of fellow travellers. With a spacious Observatory Lounge among other highlights, this ship is still small enough to navigate narrow waterwaats such as the Kiel canal and remains the warm, friendly atmosphere you’ll find across the fleet.
Balmoral is named after the Scottish residence of the British Royal Family, and the Scottish influence runs throughout the main restaurants too: Ballindalloch, Avon and Spey.
Despite her size, Balmoral is still small enough to navigate narrow waterways, such as the Kiel Canal, providing guests with some fantastic scenic cruising opportunities missed when sailing on larger vessels.
Blending modern and traditional elements, she provides a mixture of casual and formal dining across four restaurants and cafés. A host of entertainment and relaxation is on offer, including cabaret, dancing, live music and spa treatments.
Dining onboard Balmoral is spread across four restaurants and cafés, with fixed and casual dining options, as well as formal or more intimate surroundings.
